Brief Introduction of Zhuhai City Polytechnic

珠海城市职业技术学院是由珠海市人民政府举办的全日制普通高等学校，2004年4月经广东省人民政府批准，由原珠海教育学院、珠海广播电视大学、原珠海市工业学校、原珠海市财贸学校合并组建而成，经过近20年的发展，办学实力显著提升。

Zhuhai City Polytechnic (ZHCPT) is a full-time institution of higher education organized by Zhuhai Municipal People's Government, which was approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province in April 2004. It was formed by the merger of the former Zhuhai Education College, Zhuhai Radio and Television University, the former Zhuhai Industrial School and the former Zhuhai School of Finance and Trade. After nearly 20 years of development, its quality of school-running has been significantly improved.

一、深耕内涵建设，提升办学实力 （First, deepen the connotation of construction, enhance the strength of running schools）

学校2004年成立，2011年通过人才培养工作水平评估。2013年开始，在珠海市委市政府的大力支持下，学校启动广东省示范性高职院校建设，并于2020年4月正式成为省示范性高职院校，22个主要办学指标均达到预期目标并超过国家骨干及省示范中位数，办学实力和影响力逐年稳步提升；2022年8月，被广东省教育厅立项为省域高水平高职院校建设单位，进一步明确建成广东一流、全国知名高职院校的目标。

ZHCPT was established in 2004 and passed the Talent Training Level Assessment in 2011. Since 2013, with the strong support of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government of Zhuhai, it has started the construction of a demonstration higher vocational college in Guangdong Province, and officially became a provincial demonstration higher-vocational college in April 2020. The 22 main school-running indicators all reached the expected targets and exceeded the median of national backbone vocational colleges and provincial demonstration colleges. Its strength and influence of school-running have increased steadily year by year. In August 2022, ZHCPT was approved by Department of Education of Guangdong Province as the construction institution to be the provincial  high-level higher-vocational college, and it further cleared the goal of building Guangdong first-class, well-known higher-vocational college.

学校占地面积约33万平方米（约500亩），建筑面积28.75万平方米，现有马克思主义学院、人工智能学院、机电工程学院、经济管理学院、旅游管理学院、人文学院、继续教育学院等7个二级学院。28个高职招生专业，全日制高职在校学生约7500人，珠海开放大学成人学历教育在校生约8000人。2021年，市委市政府批准学校全日制在校生规模扩增至万人，学校将力争实现办学规模与教学质量“双提升”，为地方的产业发展培养更多的高水平技术技能型人才。

The college covers an area of about 330,000 square meters (about 500 mu) and has a construction area of 287,500 square meters. Currently there are 7 schools - School of Marxism, School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Economic Management, School of Tourism Management, School of Humanities, and School of Continuing Education (also called Zhuhai Open University). There are about 7,500 full-time students in 28 higher-vocational enrollment majors, and about 8,000 adult education students in Zhuhai Open University. In 2021, the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government of Zhuhai approved the  expansion of the existing full-time student scale to 10,000, and the college will strive to achieve the ‘Double Improvement’ of the existing student scale and teaching quality to cultivate more high-level technical and skilled talents for the local industrial development.

学校现有教职员工502人，其中专任教师392人，硕士及以上学位327人（其中具有博士学位72人，在读博士26人），高级职称人员131人，教育部新时代职业学校名师培养对象1人，省级教学团队4个、省教学名师2人、广东省技术能手2人、珠海特聘学者1名、珠海市高层次人才5人。

ZHCPT has 502 staff members, among 392 full-time teachers, 327 with Master's degree or above (including 72 with Doctor's degree, 26 pursuing the doctoral studies) , 131 teachers with senior professional titles, and 1 teacher as the training object of the New Era Vocational School of the Ministry of Education. There are 4 provincial teaching teams, 2 famous teachers with the provincial level, 2 technical experts of Guangdong Province, 1 distinguished scholar of Zhuhai and 5 high-level talents of Zhuhai.

二、聚焦“产业第一”，优化专业布局（Second, focus on“Industry first” and optimize the discipline  layout）

为服务粤港澳大湾区特别是珠海经济社会发展，学校精准对接珠海“十四五”时期的产业发展目标，优化专业布局，专业设置与区域重点产业匹配度为100%，重点发展工科，学校资源也重点向工科专业倾斜。重点建设大数据技术、数控技术、跨境电子商务3大高峰专业群，并带动船舶动力工程技术、旅游管理、社会工作3大特色专业群协同发展，形成“3高峰3特色”专业群。其中数控技术、大数据技术、船舶动力工程技术、跨境电子商务4个专业群已进入广东省高职院校高水平专业群建设序列。

In order to serve the Guangdong-HongKong-Macau Greater Bay Area, especially the economic and social development of Zhuhai, ZHCPT precisely aligns with the industrial development goals of Zhuhai during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, optimizes the discipline layout and major setup. The matching degree between majors and regional key industries is 100%. Focusing on the development of engineering, the resources are also tilted towards engineering majors.We focus on developing three ‘Top Major Clusters’ of Big Data Technology, Numerical Control Technology and Cross-Border E-commerce,  and drive the coordinated development of three `Distinctive Major Clusters’, including the majors of Marine Power Engineering Technology, Tourism Management and Social Work, to form a‘3 Top, 3 Distinctive’ major clusters. The four major clusters of Numerical Control Technology, Big Data Technology, Ship Power Engineering Technology, Cross-Border E-commerce, have entered the construction sequence of high-level major clusters in higher vocational colleges in Guangdong Province.

    学校把服务珠海产业发展需求、毕业生留在珠海工作比例、就业质量作为学校开设专业、确定培养规模的重要依据。近三年，学校关停并转11个专业，优化改造14个专业，新增10个专业，工科专业比例超过50%。当前，学校正结合珠海产业发展趋势，积极筹建“新能源与交通学院”新工科学院，2023年完成招生100人。

ZHCPT takes serving the demand of Zhuhai industry development, the proportion of graduates working for Zhuhai and the quality of employment as the important basis for setting up majors and determining the training scale. In the past three years, the college has closed down 11 majors, optimized 14 ones, added 10 new ones, and the proportion of engineering majors exceeds 50%. At present, the college is developing by referring to the industry development trend in Zhuhai, actively planning to build a School of New Energy and Transportation, and enroll 100 students in 2023.

三、坚持立德树人，强化思政教育（Third, strengthen ideological and political education）

学校坚持以立德树人为核心，深入推进人才培养模式改革，重视马克思主义学院建设，全部在编配齐配强思政课、辅导员队伍，建成思政教学体验馆——树人馆，充分发挥思政理论课主渠道主阵地作用，切实做好习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想进教材、进课堂、进学生头脑工作。2021年，1名教师获得全国思政课教学展示活动一等奖，在全省思政课教育教学评比等活动中，近三年（2021-2023年）获一等奖3项、二等奖4项、三等奖3项。全面推进“三全育人”，构建十大育人体系，先后建设了立德园、树人馆、青年之家、女生之家、学生事务服务大厅等社区思政平台，思政工作成效提升明显，成功获批国家教育部“一站式”社区综合管理模式自主试点单位。

ZHPCT adheres to the moral education as the core, deeply promotes the reform of talent training mode, and attaches importance to the construction of School of Marxism. We have a strong team of teachers and excellent counselors in ideological and political education, and have built an ideological and political teaching experience museum - Shuren Hall, maximizing the main role of ideological and political theory. We have applied Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a new era into textbooks, and integrated it into our classroom teaching and learning. In 2021, one of our teachers won the first prize of the national ideological and political demo class. In the past three years (2021-2023), our teachers have won 3 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 3 third prizes in the provincial ideological and political education and teaching evaluation activities. The college has comprehensively promoted the ‘Three Wide Education', constructed ten education systems, and successively built community ideological and political platforms such as Lide Park, Shuren Hall, Youth Home, Girls' Home, and Student Affairs Service Hall. The effectiveness of ideological and political work has improved significantly, and it has successfully been approved by the National Ministry of Education as a pilot unit of "One-Stop" comprehensive community management mode.

学校狠抓人才培养质量，2020-2023年，学生在全国职业院校技能大赛共获得一等奖1个、二等奖3个、三等奖6个；在全省职业院校技能大赛上共获得奖励250余个，其中一等奖56个，位居全省高职院校前列。学校获批为教育部第二批现代学徒制试点院校、省中高职衔接三二分段人才培养改革试点院校、省三二分段专升本(3+2)和四年制（2+2）高职本科协同育人改革试点院校。

ZHCPT attaches great importance to the quality of talent training. From 2020 to 2023, students won 1 first prize, 3 second prizes and 6 third prizes in the National Vocational College Skills  Competition. More than 250 prizes have been awarded in the provincial vocational college skill contests, including 56 first prizes, ranking in the forefront of vocational colleges in the province. The college has been approved as the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot colleges by the Ministry of Education, as well as the pilot colleges of the provincial secondary and higher vocational education reform (3+2) and the four-year higher vocational undergraduate cooperative education reform (2+2).

四、深化产教融合，助力产业发展（Fourth, deepen the integration of industry and education to promote industrial development）

学校整合优质资源，举全校之力积极推动与区域龙头企业开展深度校企合作，2018年11月，与格力电器共建“格力明珠产业学院”，充分发挥双方教育和技术资源的优势，精准培养符合格力电器发展规划和人才需求的技术技能型人才。2022年2月，珠海格力电器依托与我校共建的产业学院喜获第七届黄炎培职业教育奖杰出贡献奖，此为全国唯一获得杰出贡献奖殊荣的校企合作奖项。

ZHCPT integrates high-quality resources and actively promotes in-depth school-enterprise cooperation with regional leading enterprises with the strength of the whole college. In November 2018, ZHCPT and GREE Electrical Appliances INC. co-founded GREE Pearl Industrial School, which has integrated high-quality resources and actively promoted in-depth school-enterprise cooperation with regional leading enterprises. We give full play to the advantages of educational and technical resources of both sides, and precisely cultivate technical talents who will meet the development plan of GREE Electrical Appliances INC. and their needs of talents. In February 2022, GREE Electrical Appliances INC. won the 7th Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award for Outstanding Contribution by relying on the Industrial School jointly built with our college,  which is the only school-enterprise cooperation award in China.

学校聚焦金湾经济社会发展需要，与金湾区政府签订了战略合作框架协议，并于2022年6月揭牌共建“金湾智造产业学院”，发挥学校人才培养和专业特色优势，深化政校企合作，直接服务于产业发展实际需求，更好地促进地方经济社会发展。2023年5月，学校与金湾区政府、广东科学职业技术学院共建金湾大学科技园，充分发挥校企合作优势，与学校人才培养和专业建设紧密结合，实现园区、企业与人才、创新资源的全面对接，力争打造成“政产学研用”一体创新平台，为区域产业经济发展作出应有贡献。

Focusing on the needs of economic and social development in Jinwan District, ZHCPT signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Jinwan District Government. In June 2022, the college launched the ‘Jinwan Institute of Smart Manufacturing Industry’,  giving full play to our strength of talent training and major setup, deepening the cooperation with governments, college and enterprise, directly serving the actual needs of industrial development, and better promoting local economic and social development. In May 2023, ZHCPT, Jinwan District Government and Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology jointly built Jinwan University Science Park, giving full play to the advantages of school-enterprise cooperation, and closely combining with the college talent training and the development of the majors, to achieve the comprehensive docking of the park, enterprises and talent, innovative resources, and then strive to build a‘Government, Industry, Learning, Research and Use’ integrated innovation platform for the development of regional industrial economy to make due contribution.

学校先后与珠海港控股集团合作共建了“珠海港企业大学”，联手打造“高栏港政校企深度合作实验圈”；与德国工商大会（简称AHK）合作共建“粤德合作珠海职业教育与培训基地”，毕业生广受好评；与珠海长隆投资发展有限公司共建国家旅游局校企合作示范基地。通过与近200家企业开展不同形式的合作，持续推动产教深度融合，提高人才培养质量，合力打造校企共商、共建、共享的“产教融合命运共同体”。We have cooperated with Zhuhai Port Holding Group to jointly build the ‘Zhuhai Port Enterprise University’ and the ‘Gaolan Port Experimental Circle of In-Depth Cooperation between Government, College and Enterprises’. Besides, we co-built `Guangdong-German Cooperation Vocational Education and Training Base of Zhuhai" with the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) , and the quality of graduates is well received. We also jointly built the National Tourism Administration School-Enterprise Cooperation Demonstration Base with Zhuhai Chimelong Investment Development Co., Ltd. Through different forms of cooperation with nearly 200 enterprises, we keep promoting the deep integration of industry and education, and improving the quality of talent training, thus work together for a ‘Community of Shared Future with the Integration of Production and Education' through joint discussion as well as co-construction and sharing between college and enterprises.

五、发挥自身特色，拓展社会服务（Fifth, develop our own characteristics and expand social services）

依托珠海开放大学平台，建立了覆盖城乡的四级社区教育网络，每年开展职业资格证书考试与培训15000余人次，面向政府、行业、企业的培训30000多人次。2021年，成功推动教育部同意国家开放大学恢复对澳门招生，学校成为唯一承接学校，2022年招收澳门籍学生604 人，2023年上半年招收澳门籍学生246人，共计有1018名澳门生在读。建立了国家数字化学习资源中心珠海分中心、珠海市干部教育培训网、珠海市党员教育网、珠海市民终身学习网等多个网络学习平台，建成社区教育基地60多个，每年承办珠海市全民终身学习活动周活动。积极开展面向老年人、残疾人的特色教育。

Relying on the platform of Zhuhai Open University, a four-level community education network covering both urban and rural areas has been established, and more than 15,000 person-times of vocational qualification examination and training are conducted each year. More than 30,000 training sessions are provided to governments, industries and enterprises. In 2021, it successfully promoted the Ministry of Education to allow the Open University of China to resume the enrollment of students from Macau, and Zhuhai Open University became the only university to recruit students from Macau. In 2022, it enrolled 604 students from Macau, and in the first half of 2023, it enrolled 246 students from Macau. In total, 1,018 Macau students have been enrolled. A number of network learning platforms have been established, including Zhuhai Branch of the National Digital Learning Resource Center, Zhuhai Cadre Education and Training Network, Zhuhai Party Member Education Network, and Zhuhai Citizen Lifelong Learning Network. More than 60 community education bases have been built, and Zhuhai Lifelong Learning Week is held annually. Special education for the elderly and the disabled are actively promoted.

近三年，学校科技工作取得较快的发展，共获得2个“珠海市工程技术研究中心”，2个“珠海市社会科学普及基地”；2022年教育部人文社科立项2项，全国排名并列第6；2023年“GDI高职高专科研能力排行榜”排名全国209位。学校汉语水平考试考点是国家汉办批准的全国高职院校中唯一的汉语水平考试（HSK）考点，服务珠海及周边地区国际友人汉语水平提升。

In the past three years, the science and technology work of ZHCPT has attained rapid development. We have established a total of two ‘Zhuhai Engineering Research Centers’, and two ‘Zhuhai Social Science Popularization Bases’. In 2022, we won 2 humanities and social science projects approved by the Ministry of Education, ranking No. 6 in the country. In 2023, we ranked 209th in the ‘GDI Ranking of Scientific Research Ability of Higher Vocational Colleges’. The HSK Test Center of ZHCPT is the only HSK Test Center approved by China National Office for Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language among the national higher vocational colleges, serving international friends in Zhuhai and the surrounding areas to improve their Chinese proficiency.
